"After forty days Noah opened a window he had made in the ark and sent out a raven, and it kept flying back and forth until the water had dried up from the earth. Then he sent out a dove to see if the water had receded from the surface of the ground. But the dove could find nowhere to perch because there was water over all the surface of the earth; so it returned to Noah in the ark. He reached out his hand and took the dove and brought it back to himself in the ark. He waited seven more days and again sent out the dove from the ark. When the dove returned to him in the evening, there in its beak was a freshly plucked olive leaf! Then Noah knew that the water had receded from the earth."~Genesis 8:6-11

Exodus

So we studied the book of Exodus in the same way we studied the other books, but rather than going through the inductive method on this book, I just want to show you the thing that amazed me the most about this book.  It is the way that Israel's exodus from Egypt foreshadowed Christ's coming.

The general story of Exodus is as follows...
The Israelites were in Slavery.
God raises up a deliverer (Moses).
Israel is delivered from slavery by Moses (well, God using Moses).
A Passover lamb is sacrificed for redemption.
The tabernacle is built where God’s glory dwells amongst the people.

How we experience Christ today...
We were in slavery to sin.
God raised up a deliverer (Jesus).
We are delivered from slavery to sin by Jesus, who is the perfect lamb, sacrificed for the redemption of our souls.
God has given us the Holy Spirit to dwell within us.

IT'S SO INCREDIBLE!
